Maven Lane Return Policy

Return Policy Overview
We have a 30-day return policy on most items (see Final Sale section below), which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it—unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Before You Assemble: Inspect Every Piece
Furniture cannot be returned once assembled. Before assembling any item, carefully inspect every component, hardware piece, and panel for damage, defects, or missing parts. Inspect all pieces against the included parts list.

Fully inspect every piece of your order before assembly.

Check all surfaces, edges, and hardware against the packing list before discarding any packaging.

Once assembly begins, the item is considered accepted and is no longer eligible for a standard return.
How to Start a Return
To start a return, please email us directly at hello@mavenlane.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
Photo Evidence Required:

Returns must be in original packaging with photo evidence submitted before a return label will be issued.

Photos must clearly show the item inside the original box with all original packing materials intact. If the box has not yet been opened, a clear photo of the unopened package will be accepted.

Items returned without prior authorization or in non-original packaging will not be accepted.
If approved, we will issue you a prepaid return label via UPS. Please place the label on your box and drop it off at your nearest UPS location.
Return Label Expiration: Customers must return their items within 2 weeks of receiving their return label. After that, the label is considered void and the return will be closed until further contact is initiated by the customer.
Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Do not attempt to assemble a damaged item.
Required Documentation for Damage Claims:

An image of the claimed damage, clearly showing the affected area.

A clear photo of the labels on the product; usually found underneath the seat.

A photo of the outer shipping box showing any visible damage to the carton.

Your order number and a brief description of the issue.
Damage claims submitted without the required photos cannot be processed. Please retain all packaging materials until your claim is fully resolved.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

Item is returned within 30 days of the delivery date.

Item is unassembled and in its original, unaltered condition.

Item is in original packaging with all accessories, hardware, and documentation included.

Photo evidence of packaged item has been submitted and return has been pre-authorized.

Receipt or proof of purchase is provided.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on the following:

Final Sale items (see Final Sale Policy below)

Assembled or partially assembled items

Items showing signs of use, wear, or modification

Custom or made-to-order items

Items returned without original packaging or missing components
Sizing & Fit — Measure Before You Order
We strongly encourage all customers to measure their space carefully before placing an order and before assembling any product. Because assembled products are not eligible for return, returns will not be issued for items purchased at an incorrect size or height.
This applies in particular to seating: stool height must be matched to your counter or bar surface before ordering. Common height guidelines are as follows:

Counter-height stools (24–26"): pair with counters 35–37" tall.

Bar-height stools (28–30"): pair with bars or high-tops 40–42" tall.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process and post the refund.

Refunds will be issued for the item price only. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

If your return is not approved, we will contact you with the reason and discuss next steps.
Shipping & Freight for Returns
Due to the size and weight of furniture, return shipping logistics are important to understand:

Maven Lane will provide a prepaid UPS return label for approved returns.

The customer is responsible for ensuring items are securely repackaged. Items damaged in return transit due to improper packaging may not qualify for a refund.

FINAL SALE POLICY
At Maven Lane, we occasionally discontinue products to make room for new designs and innovations. Items marked as FINAL SALE are end-of-life products that are heavily discounted and will not be restocked.
Final Sale Terms

No Returns or Exchanges: All Final Sale items are sold as-is and are not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges.

No Price Adjustments: Discounts on Final Sale items are final, and no price adjustments will be made for past purchases.

While Supplies Last: Final Sale items are available in limited quantities and may sell out without notice.

Limited Warranty: Final Sale items are sold without warranty.

Damage Claims: While Final Sale items are not eligible for returns or refunds, please contact us if you received an item that was damaged during shipping. Damage claims require photos as outlined in the Damages & Issues section above.
