Meet Our Founder
Maven Lane was born of a particular set of circumstances which aligned perfectly at the right place and right time. The result of this place and time was a vivid dream that I personally had, in which I was told that I needed to “find Maven Lane as it is a place for intellectual conversation”.
Cryptic right?
It gets better. In this dream I found myself pedaling a bicycle through dark, cobblestone alleyways until I reached a large carved wooden door, illuminated by a Victorian sconce. I could feel that I was approaching this “Maven Lane” and chose to push the door open.
It took incredible effort to budge, and once it did, the light radiated from behind the door so powerfully that it woke me from my slumber. I called my business partners, and Maven Lane was formed a week later.
From that point forward, we got to work; dedicating ourselves to developing the Maven Lane style. Countless international trips, iterations, samples, wood finishes, and a whole lot of fun.
I believe this company is meant to make a meaningful impact, on both its team members and its customers, in the same way the bright light and the door - now our logo - impacted me.
There is beauty, magic, and energy in everything if we look for it.

Because every brand has real people behind it
I realize it is important to get to know about the people behind the brands you choose to purchase from. Here are a few things I'd like to share with you (in no particular order):
- I make a fantastic French onion soup (pictured here). I may share the recipe if you ask nicely.
- I've always had a love of spaces; particularly with books in every corner, organic textures, and soft natural light.
- My wife (also pictured) is a fashion designer, and a major source of inspiration.
- My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, which I believe changed the trajectory of my life at a young age.
- I've never met a group of more talented, passionate, and dedicated human beings than the ones who are serving our customers and building this company alongside me today.
